Cheeseburger Casserole Pie? YUM!

So a few years ago (okay like 4 or 5 years ago) I learned how to make cheeseburger casserole out of this really awesome old cookbook...unfortunately the cookbook belonged to an ex and I never thought to make a copy of the recipe before things turned bad, lol.  I have been wanting to make this for my family for a while and knew the basic ingredients and decided to go ahead and try it out...SUCCESS!  Everyone loved it YAY!  The only thing I think I would do different is double the recipe so everyone can have more than just a little piece.  Also, please note that my family is VERY picky when it comes to eating so I made this as plain as possible...you can also add diced onions, real tomato chunks, mustard, etc to the recipe to add additional flavour.

Cheeseburger Casserole serves 2 adults, 3 children....

1 lb ground beef
salt
pepper
1/2 cup of ketchup
shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Brown ground beef in pan (lightly season with salt).  Drain ground beef...mix in pepper (I just dashed it over the mixture) and ketchup.

Place ground beef in round glass pie pan (you can also use an 11 x 8 glass pan if you have one).

Sprinkle cheese on top to cover the ground beef mixture.

Unroll crescent rolls and place them on top in a single layer (I had extra from the one package and made them into mini croissants that I baked at the same time but for only 12 minutes).

Place pie in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.  Let cool for a few minutes, serve, and enjoy!
